Irish Music at Artrageous Weekend tomorrow
(Saturday, 10/10)
Orr Street Gallery (102 Orr. St) is hosting an Irish Music Jam session with
local musicians from 11am to noon or 12:30 tomorrow, during their all-day open
house. Come out and listen and check out the gallery and also the Artist's
Market along Orr Street.
Following the Irish music jam, there will be a belly dancing
demonstration from 1 - 1:30 and contra dancing demonstration
from 1:30 - 2 p.m. From 2 - 4 p.m. Arlan and the Blues Singers
will perform.

*Niamh ni Charra is filling in on this tour for banjo player
Enda Scahill, whose wife is due to give birth in November.
Niamh toured with Riverdance for 8 years and more than 2500
performances as a soloist before returning to Ireland where she
is now based. She tours these days with the Carlos Nunez band
from Galicia, Spain. Her debut album "On Da Thaobh / From Both
Sides" was released in 2007 to much critical acclaim and was the
only Irish album to make MOJO's Top Ten Folk Albums for 2007.

Central MO Renaissance Festival, Oct 17-18
In its fourth year, the Central Missouri
Renaissance Festival offers family fun with
entertainment, costumes, food and fun.
This year Milwaukee-based Celtic band 3 Pints
Gone brings lively ballads and shanties from
Ireland and Scotland, complimented by their
three-part harmony arrangements. They have been
performing at Midwestern Renaissance and Irish
festivals for more than 15 years (previous to
2004 as Wild Mountain Thyme).
