Kids Irish Arts Camp is July 26 - 30 for ages 6 - 18

We need your help! We've got an awesome week of classes, activities and mini-concerts planned for our second ever Irish Arts Camp, taught by our two artists-in-residence and dance teachers from St. Louis Irish Arts.  BUT...  what we're lacking is KIDS!

At this point we only have 6 kids enrolled for the week. If you know any families who might be interested, please tell them about our camp. You can send them to the web site: www.moceltic.org or have them call 573-442-2048 for details.  There are photos from our camp last year on the web site.

There is a printable flyer (PDF) on the web here:

Music with Úna tomorrow night (Thursday)

Our summer artist-in-residence Úna ni Fhlannagáin will play music on Irish harp and whistle at D'Agostino's on Thursday evening from 8 - 10 p.m. Brian Hart, accordion player and singer from St. Louis may be joining her as well.

Breaking many misconceptions about Irish harp music and harpists, Úna plays spirited jigs and reels and the unique  compositions of 17th century harper Turlough O'Carolan, putting her own jazzy spin on them.

Please look for her in the Niche article in the Ovation section of Sunday's Tribune, and also an article about her in the Missourian this weekend.

When's the last time you went dancing?? How about coming to the Ceili on Friday?

Do something different this Friday and come out to our ceili for some Irish dancing and live music!  You don't even have to dance, if you're skeptical about the whole thing. Just come to listen and hang out with us for a fun evening.
What the heck! It's only $5 for adults and kids get in FREE!
You don't need any experience. You don't even need to bring a partner.  Ya just jump into a spot for the dance and off ye go.

7:00 - beginners lesson (come at 7 if you've never, ever done any folk dancing before)
7:30 - Dancing begins, with the very easiest dances first. Dances will get slightly more challenging as the evening goes on, but not TOO difficult.
