Marie McLean introduced some Columbia kids to Irish music and dance during the 2002 Summer Arts Program.

Central Missouri Celtic Arts Association is a non-profit organization created to foster participation and interest in the music, dance, drama, literature, language and other arts and culture of the Celtic nations and immigrant-America in a fun, social environment. It is also meant to encourage the growing community interest in Celtic arts and culture, and to raise the awareness of of them in our community.

We are a 501(c)3 non-profit organization registered with the state of Missouri and we are an affiliate member of the North American Folk Music and Dance Alliance (Folk Alliance). All monetary and in-kind donations to CMCAA are tax deductible.

We

Most activities happen in or near Columbia, MO, but we draw participants and audiences from Jefferson City, Booneville, Fulton, Kirksville, and Mexico. As our programs grow, we hope to hold events in these other locations as well.
