Weekly Classes June 14 - August 9 (no class on July 5 & 6)

Classes will be held in Columbia,  at The Chez Coffeehouse (part of First Presbyterian Church) on Tenth Street.
All of Úna's classes start June 14 unless otherwise noted.
Helen Gubbins will return to Columbia to teach from July 12 - August 3.

We have a number of instruments available to rent including fiddles and accordions.  If we don't have one for you, we'll help you locate one. We have tin whistles for sale for $8.

Classes with Úna ni Fhlannagáin, June 7 - August 17
Monday 5:30 - 6:25 p.m. Beginning Fiddle 8 weeks, $65 This class is for total beginners, starting with how to hold the instrument. We have one fiddle available to rent
Monday 6:30 - 7:25 p.m. Intermediate fiddle 8 weeks, $65 This class if for students who have recently started playing fiddle, or have been learning violin.
Monday 7:30 - 8:25 Harp or Irish language    
Tuesday 5:30 - 6:25 Beginning whistle 8 weeks, $65 For complete beginners. All ages welcome.  We have whistles available for $8 each.
Tuesday 6:30 - 7:25 Sean nos singing 8 weeks, $65 Unaccompanied, old-style of Irish singing. Some songs in Irish as well as English. About sean nos singing
Tuesday 7:30 - 9 p.m. Tunes by ear 8 weeks
$65 or $10 drop-in fee.
Bring a tape recorder. All instruments are welcome.  Tunes will be taught by ear, written music provided upon request.

This class is especially intended for students who have been in Deirdre's advanced whistle and fiddle classes, slow-jammers, and others who are proficient on their instruments but want to learn more tunes and polish their playing style.

Individual, percussive and improvisational style of dance that is low to the ground with lots of footwork.  It's the Irish equivalent of tap dance.

All ages are welcome! (Kids too!)

Private lessons available
Úna teaches Irish folk harp, tin whistle, fiddle, Irish language, sean nos singing and sean nos dancing.
Helen teaches button accordion, tin whistle and accompaniment for piano or guitar.
$25/hour lesson or $15/half-hour lesson

If you are taking at least 2 classes or enrolling 2 family members (or any combination), a 10% family discount is available. 

Payment options: $20 deposit per class is due with your registration. You can either pay online (deposit or entire amount)  through www.paypal.com  (send money to payments@moceltic.org) or you can print this page and mail it with a check. Please make checks payable to Central MO Celtic Arts Assoc.

You balance is due at the beginning of  your first class (cash or check.)
