CMCAA board members meet on the first Thursday of each month at Kayotea Tea Room from 5:30 - 6:30 each month.  Meetings are open to anyone. Please bring your ideas!

Most of our events and classes are held in Columbia, Missouri, but we occasionally organize or participate in events in the surrounding communities of Jefferson City, Ashland, Moberly, Macon, Kirksville, Mexico, Rocheport and Boonville.

Guest artist-in-residence Conor Caldwell from Belfast, NI and returning instructor Brian Hart will teach some great classes and share their talents in mid-Missouri this summer!

Jam sessions

Irish "slow jam" session meets every Wednesday night
Are you just learning to play Irish tunes, or maybe you've been thinking it would be a fun thing to do?
Join us for the "slow jam" session on Wednesday nights from 7:00 to

Junior Jam Session -  every other Sunday afternoon (approx.)
Traditional music session for young people
Led by fiddler Tim Langen
This music session is a no-pressure, fun environment for kids to learn traditional music. There is no age restriction -- it's open to any young person interested in learning traditional Irish, Canadian and American music. For more info, please contact Tim: langent@missouri.edu

Thursday Night Music
Long-standing regular traditional music session. Location rotates each Thursday except the first Thursday of the month, when we meet at Kayotea on Broadway in downtown Columbia at 6 p.m.  For location on any given Thursday, contact Kate 442-2048 or Fred 443-0082.

We sell Oak brand tin whistles for $12. These are very good whistles.
We also sell a few books to musicians:

These are available from Kate at any event if you send your request ahead of time.
